We have our students take what we call "practice photos" which are designed to test the limitations of one's individual camera. All camera models are different, of course. Anyway, it was grand to see Rose choose one of these shots for her portfolio. The "spin shot" below is a test of slow shutter speed and synchronous flash. They're fun, but this shot by Rose is extraordinary. As you can see by this portfolio, Rose is as professional a photographer as you're likely to find. She's immensely talented, has a wonderful eye for composition, and my hope is that she becomes a professional visual storyteller in some capacity.
