A note from the producer:

Dear friends: Thanks to all of you who supported this extraordinary first effort. We are now in negotiations with broadcast organizations to secure a schedule for our first season of shows. And because we are engaged in the process of raising financing for necessary equipment, all intermediate goals must be accomplished to be able to put this project on wheels. This is why a good pilot was so important to our success.

Our performers, Chrissy, Kimberly and Jim,, did a splendid job of providing just the right energy level, and the look and feel of the show is precisely what we are after. Pacing will improve as we attain more experience and comfort with our cast and become more comfortable with our production platform.

What I set out to accomplish is show how farmers' markets make great television. It was so obvious to me. But I did not want the camera to intrude or change the atmosphere that is farmers' market. Small cameras and a single operator are less intrusive and are less likely to change farmers' market into a TV show which was never the goal. I want it to remain farmers' market, and the cameras are merely providing a point of view.

I want to thank our production partner, Dan LoBianco and his staff at Dubuque Main Street, LTD for all of the wonderful help in producing this pilot. And also thanks to the our great farmers' market vendors who anticipated our arrival on this Saturday morning and cooperated so wonderfully.

Enjoy!

Note on Video Performance: This is a highly resolved Adobe Flash video, and depending on your connection's speed and computer's performance, it might play haltingly at first. It's best to let it play for a minute while it's downloading, and then, with your mouse, move the play head back to the beginning so the movie streams and plays behind the file's download progress. You can see this occur on the play bar where the data rate is represented by a gray bar. In the illustration above, it shows the download well ahead of the play head. For those with DSL, it's difficult to stream a video of this quality. Those with cable or similar high-speed network, you're going to have a better experience.
